Based on my experience and training, I have the ability to accommodate clients using a variety of techniques. I specialize in metabolic conditioning drills, strength training, flexibility training, olympic lifting and yoga.  I will work with you to ensure you are comfortable with your training and able to achieve your goals.

During my consultation, I inform my weight-loss clients that they will weigh-in 4 weeks after our start date. That’s 4 weeks to show me and to show themselves how serious they are about their weight loss goals. Physiological changes can be achieved in 4 weeks time (all other things considered) if you are following the guidelines we discuss during the consultation.  By tracking your progress this keeps us both accountable to your success

As a former Drill Sergeant of the United States Army Reserves and who also served in the United States Marine Corps, I draw on those experiences to work with my clients to achieve their goals through teamwork and encouragement.  My primary personal training certification is through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and my exercise program design is fashioned after NASM's Optimum Performance Training Model (OPT).

I believe most exercise programs on the market are great for people who are already very fit, but not properly formatted for those who are new to fitness, returning from an injury, have poor flexibility, or just getting back into shape. This leads to unnecessary pain, stress, and burnout. While soreness can be expected, your workout should not leave you debilitated for the rest of the day (or week). It should provide an adequate stimulus for change, using exercises and equipment appropriate for your ability, specifically targeting your weaknesses, and gradually progressing as you gain fitness. You should feel a sense of accomplishment the end of a workout, not weak or inadequate. This does not mean easy - you will still be challenged.

What sets me apart from other personal trainers?

A full commitment to YOUR goals, not mine. If your goal is improved health and well-being, I’m not going to put you on a scale each week (but if your only goal is to lose 10 pounds this month, then you can count on it). If you’re a vegetarian, I won't to try and persuade you to eat paleo. In fact, I don’t support a specific “diet” for anybody. The truth is – ANY diet and exercise program can work for anybody. The key is that you must enjoy it, believe in it, and be consistent. The most important factor in achieving your goal is consistency, and the fastest way to become inconsistent is to do workouts you don’t like, don’t understand, and that are geared towards results you didn’t want in the first place. Everyone has different reasons to exercise, and my job is to devise a plan that works best for you.

  I have been going to Frank for over a year now. I have been a fitness enthusiast for most of my adult life. My goal when I got to Frank, was to increase muscle mass and reduce body fat percent; in short, I wanted to get stronger. To start off, Frank will be extremely attentive to your goal/s. He designs a workout program specific to your goal/s. He also ensures that you never lose sight of your goal/s. He is immaculate in taking you through your daily reps and has the unique ability to push you to your limit and bring you back; before you realize it, you would have exceeded your limit. For those of us who have no idea of what our goals are, he is really good at setting a baseline and establishing goal/s for us to follow. I have tried several trainers in the past. Most trainers are bad listeners or are in it for the money. Frank has none of those traits. If you are serious about your fitness goals, I would highly recommend you talk to Frank!!

  I have been training with Alexis for four years. My initial goals were to improve my general fitness and get into a routine. Alexis worked with me to develop a plan to meet that goal and she kept me accountable. With her well rounded experience in fitness instruction and nutrition she help me move beyond a general level of fitness to being able to squat and deadlift more than I weigh. Alexis will meet you where you are and push you to meet your potential. I also trained with her to complete my first half-marathon.
